Happy Birthday to Jocelyn!!!

Well, it's finally here. Jocelyn is the big 1. Some would say offically a toddler! Hard to believe I have a toddler! Daddy had to go out of town today, so it's just Jocelyn and mommy. So we decided to enjoy one last outing with sweet Nicole. We went to the park and enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weather!

Jocelyn discovered how fun it is to play in the rocks. If this is a fore-shadowing of how many fun she is going to have playing in the sand at the beach, I cant wait! Needless to say, she didnt want to be pulled away from her new found love...rocks. ;-)

Day Off at the Pool

Today we had somewhat of an off day, so we decided to suit up and go get in the hot tub. Unfortunately the pool was a bit cool still, however the hot tub was perfect temp. Even Jocelyn enjoyed splashing around on the top stair with her feet. Trust me, it was much cooler than what you would think a hot tub would be.
Anyhow before heading down to the pool area, Jeffry put together Jocelyn's new wagon that she got for her birthday and myself and Jocelyn had some fun with the camera in her cute little swimsuit and cover.

Look at her posing...the little model! ;-)

Playing hard to get with the camers!

She's walking soo well!

Blow the camera kisses!

Peek-a-boo

Look at her new wagon! She loves it!

"Mommy, I want milk!"
She loved the hot tub.
Jocelyn likes to give the camera kisses.
Look at all her toofies (or teeth)!
So excited she just cant contain it!

Jocelyn's First Birthday Party

Today is Jocelyn's First Birthday Party! She is the princess today!!!

Isn't Jocelyn's princess cake just perfect!
Thanks to my mom for putting in all the hard work on that.

Today is Jocelyn's First Birthday Party! She is the princess today!!!
What a good picture...too bad it's blurry!
"You're kidding??? This party is for me?!?!"
Jocelyn right away started enjoying the fun Dora chair that
Aunt Christy, Uncle Jay, & Michael gave her.
Admiring how comfy her new chair is.

And the fun begins...
Jocelyn is definitely a dainty little girl.
She started picking the polkadots off of the cake.

Now she's getting the idea.
I think the sugar rush is kicking in.
It's time for the presents. Jocelyn jumped on board with it very quickly. It got quite chaotic for me though, but I think she had a blast.
She loves some Mickey Mouse! Cant wait to take her to Disney World very soon!

She was very excited about her wagon too.
Even has two seats, perfect for a little brother or sister to enjoy as well.
Jocelyn was fascinated with the Birthday hats.
Such a fun day!

04/28/08 - Playing Outside

Today was daddy's off day and it truly had felt like so long since we had a day together as a family. On our way home from lunch, we turned around to see what Jocelyn was doing in her carseat and in her little mirror we could see her loving on her baby doll. It was picture perfect! Now that I look back and think about it, this was one of her last times to face backwards in her carseat. Now we dont need that fun little mirror to see what she's doing.
Jocelyn has a blast on our deck.
She's now taking steps, but still loves to push her little toy around.

Couldnt have a picture series without this classic face!
Jocelyn coming to kiss the camera!
Funny, but it doesnt even look like her!
Look, I'm walking! No hands!
She had so much fun pushing her toy around our parking lot. Lot's of new territory to explore.

Jocelyn's Visits the ER

While in Birmingham for a few days, sweet Jocelyn caught a cold and fell into her normal routine of weesing. After we noticed her breathing treatments were really helping her out, we called her Dr's office back in Knoxville. They highly suggested that we take her to the ER or Urgent Care Facility. So we did. We were definitely led in making that decision as she was gasping for air when it was time for the Dr to see her. She had a low grade fever, beginning of an ear infections, and was highly congested. She had to do 2 30 minute breathing treatments and a steriod shot. They even made the comment "if she goes home today". It pretty sad to see your precious child struggling to breathe. We are definitely asking God to keep her from having to deal with the same asthma & allergy struggles that her dad and I have had to deal with. She was a trooper though.

She even got an arm band!

Before we were called back to see the Dr., Jocelyn got to play on the little slide in the waiting room. It was fun that she actually had hair long enough to stand up on top of her head from static electricity. :-)

Mommy, I have a Microphone too! - 5/5/08

Jocelyn had us in stitches one day when she picked up her toy microphone and was singing "la, la, la" into it. Every Sunday morning she watches me practice with the worship team, so I was pleased to see that she actually realized how to use a mic. She may just be an upcoming singer in the making!
