10/21/07 Cowboy Up!

It's that time again! This past Sunday night was our annual Hoedown. We had so much fun! Jocelyn and Michael were a hit once again. They were dressed up as a cowboy and cowgirl! Sweet Michael was full of smiles as usual and Jocelyn wasnt quite sure what to make of everything at times, but there were both adorable! It was quite the fun event. There was square dancing, a mechanical bull, and lots of yummy food. Of course getting to dress up was very fun as well.

Christy & I with our little ones!

Michael loves to touch Jocelyn and she is just mesmerized with him.
Sweet Nicole helps out so much with the babies! I thank God for her all the time...without her help I wouldnt be able to do half of the things at the church that I do.
You know we had to get a picture on the mechanical bull!

Some of my amazing girls loving on Jocelyn, which they do so well!
Jocelyn and I went to sit out by the fire to warm up and my little angel feel asleep. She had quite an exciting evening and was exhausted.

10/20/07 Getting Ready for the Hoedown

Today we are getting ready for our churches annual Hoedown night. We spent a large part of the day running errands to get ready for it. We decided it was time to see if Jocelyn was ready to sit up in the shopping cart! Well, she loved it! We got to use our shopping cart cover too...which I must say is really neat!
Yes, Jocelyn sat in the front seat with daddy on the ride from the barn to the house...dont worry, we just drove through the field not on a road! ;-)
I just couldnt help but capture these sweet smiles!
She's discovered hay! She tried to eat it too...I dont think tasted very good!

We can add cats & horses to the list of animals that she loves. Looks like they liked her too! I believe that she got her daddy's precious love for animals!

Jocelyn's a Big Girl!

Jocelyn has figured out how to sit up! Now we can sit her on a blanket with her toys around her and she will play for the longest time...until of course she dives for a toy just out of her reach and then cant figure out how to get back up!

Sometimes I think Daddy enjoys Jocelyn's toys as much as she does.
Sweet Moments!

Finally, she figured out how to get that foot in her mouth!

Look Mommy! No hands...I'm sitting up all by myself!
Aunt LL & Uncles Josh's puppy Maddie gave Jocelyn quite a good laugh when Maddie would lick her hand.
Can you believe she had enough hair to make a mohawk??? Finally!
Does Poppa's ball cap look cute on me?

10/7/07 Jocelyn's Dedication

On this beautiful morning, with our families present, Jeffry and I, along with our church dedicated Jocelyn to the Lord. This was such a special day for us. She wore a family dress that was made by my grandmother and she looked like an angel in it. Sweet Michael (Jocelyn's buddy) was dedicated with her, which made the day even more exciting. Our parents, Jeffry's sister & her husband Josh came up from Birmingham for the special day. It was quite a fun weekend having both of our families here together.

While we were praying over her, she looked up at her daddy and gave him the sweetest look. At home when Jeffry and/or I pray for Jocelyn, she gets very still and just watches us. She knows that whatever it is we are doing is different than when we talk to her. It's very sweet!
I LOVE this smile!
Before the dedication, Jay (Michaels dad who is our worship leader) & I were on stage for worship.

I thank God every day for friendships such as these!

That weekend, she really got the hang of repetitive rolling over. She didnt seem to know what to do though when she was on her belly.
